Better is open ¹  rebuke than hidden ²  love.

He would certainly rebuke ¹  you if you secretly ²  showed partiality!

The pillars ¹  of the heavens tremble and are amazed at his rebuke. ² 

because ¹  you neglected ²  all my advice, and did not comply ³  with my rebuke,

they did not comply with my advice, they spurned ¹  all my rebuke.

My child, do not despise discipline from the Lord, ¹  and do not loathe ²  his rebuke.

He spoke openly about this. So ¹  Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.

Watch ¹  yourselves! If ²  your brother ³  sins, rebuke him. If ⁴  he repents, forgive him.

But ¹  some of the Pharisees ²  in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” ³ 

All those ¹  I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent!

The Lord ¹  said to Satan, “May the Lord rebuke you, Satan! May the Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, ²  rebuke you! Isn’t this man like a burning stick snatched from the fire?”

Will your idle talk ¹  reduce people to silence, ²  and will no one rebuke ³  you when you mock? ⁴ 

The one who heeds instruction ¹  is on the way to ²  life, but the one who rejects ³  rebuke goes astray.

A wise son accepts ¹  his father’s discipline, ²  but a scoffer ³  does not listen to rebuke.

A rebuke makes a greater impression on ¹  a discerning person than a hundred blows on a fool. ² 

So Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him: ¹  “God forbid, ²  Lord! This must not happen to you!”

Preach the message, ¹  be ready ²  whether it is convenient or not, ³  reprove, rebuke, exhort ⁴  with complete patience and instruction.

Such testimony is true. For this reason rebuke them sharply that they may be healthy in the faith

If only ¹  you will respond ²  to my rebuke, ³  then ⁴  I will pour ⁵  out my thoughts ⁶  to you and ⁷  I will make ⁸  my words known to you.

It is better for a person to receive ¹  a rebuke from those who are wise ²  than to listen to the song ³  of fools.
