To him belongs ¹  the power forever. Amen.

Acknowledge God’s power, ¹  his sovereignty over Israel, and the power he reveals in the skies! ² 

Who among all the gods of the lands has rescued their lands from my power? So how can the Lord rescue Jerusalem from my power?’” ¹ 

He delivered them from the power ¹  of the one who hated them, and rescued ²  them from the power ³  of the enemy.

Who among all the gods of these lands have rescued their lands from my power? So how can the Lord rescue Jerusalem from my power?’” ¹ 

Then a new king, ¹  who did not know about ²  Joseph, came to power ³  over Egypt.

So now, let the power of my Lord ¹  be great, just as you have said,

They are your people, your valued property, ¹  whom you brought out with great strength and power. ² 

and he displayed great power ¹  and awesome might in view of all Israel. ² 

David’s power grew steadily, for the Lord God ¹  who commands armies ²  was with him. ³ 

David’s power steadily grew, for the Lord who commands armies was with him. ¹ 

Jehoshaphat’s power kept increasing. He built fortresses and storage cities throughout Judah.

“With God ¹  are wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his. ² 

“Why do the wicked go on living, ¹  grow old, ²  even increase in power?

Would he contend ¹  with me with great power? No, he would only pay attention to me. ² 

It hurls itself against him without pity ¹  as he flees headlong from its power.

With great power God ¹  grasps my clothing; ²  he binds me like the collar ³  of my tunic.

Indeed, God is exalted in his power; who is a teacher ¹  like him?

Look ¹  at its strength in its loins, and its power in the muscles of its belly.

You ¹  prevail over ²  all your enemies; your power is too great for those who hate you. ³
