He did not remove the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people. ¹ 

You guided them with a pillar of cloud by day and with a pillar of fire by night to illumine for them the path they were to travel.

But Lot’s ¹  wife looked back longingly ²  and was turned into a pillar of salt.

So Jacob took a stone and set it up as a memorial pillar.

You must not erect a sacred pillar, ¹  a thing the Lord your God detests.

He fashioned two bronze pillars; each pillar was 27 feet ¹  high and 18 feet ²  in circumference.

They hauled out the sacred pillar of the temple of Baal and burned it.

“This pile of stones and the pillar are reminders that I will not pass beyond this pile to come to harm you and that you will not pass beyond this pile and this pillar to come to harm me. ¹ 

Now the Lord was going before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them in the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, ¹  so that they could ²  travel day or night. ³ 

He set up the pillars on the porch in front of the main hall. He erected one pillar on the right ¹  side and called it Jakin; ²  he erected the other pillar on the left ³  side and called it Boaz. ⁴ 

The bronze top of one pillar was about seven and one-half feet ¹  high and had bronze latticework and pomegranate-shaped ornaments all around it. The second pillar with its pomegranate-shaped ornaments was like it.

The Lord appeared in the tent in a pillar of cloud that ¹  stood above the door of the tent.

He spoke to them from a pillar of cloud; ¹  they obeyed his regulations and the ordinance he gave them.

“Here is this pile of stones and this pillar I have set up between me and you,” Laban said to Jacob. ¹ 

In the morning watch ¹  the Lord looked down ²  on the Egyptian army ³  through the pillar of fire and cloud, and he threw the Egyptian army ⁴  into a panic. ⁵ 

And ¹  whenever Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent, and the Lord ²  would speak with Moses. ³ 

All the leaders of Shechem and Beth Millo assembled and then went and made Abimelech king by the oak near the pillar ¹  in Shechem.

He made doors of olive wood at the entrance to the inner sanctuary; the pillar on each doorpost was five-sided. ¹ 

The latticework on the tops of the pillars was adorned with ornamental wreaths and chains; the top of each pillar had seven groupings of ornaments. ¹ 

When he made the pillars, there were two rows of pomegranate-shaped ornaments around the latticework covering the top of each pillar. ¹
