They said, ¹  “John the Baptist, others say Elijah, ²  and still others, one of the prophets.”

They answered, “Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, ¹  and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

Others said, “He is Elijah.” Others said, “He is a prophet, like one of the prophets from the past.”

He sent another, and that one they killed. This happened to many others, some of whom were beaten, others killed.

while others were saying that Elijah ¹  had appeared, and still others that one of the prophets of long ago had risen. ² 

They ¹  answered, ²  “John the Baptist; others say Elijah; ³  and still others that one of the prophets of long ago has risen.” ⁴ 

Others said, “This is the Christ!” ¹  But still others said, “No, ²  for the Christ doesn’t come from Galilee, does he? ³ 

And entrust what you heard me say ¹  in the presence of many others as witnesses ²  to faithful people ³  who will be competent ⁴  to teach others as well.

save ¹  others by snatching them out of the fire; have mercy ²  on others, coupled with a fear of God, ³  hating even the clothes stained ⁴  by the flesh. ⁵ 

The Israelites killed Balaam son of Beor, the omen reader, ¹  along with the others. ² 

The five others were Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, and Jushab-Hesed.

Indeed, this is the joy of his way, ¹  and out of the earth ²  others spring up. ³ 

Now Elihu had waited before speaking ¹  to Job, because the others ²  were older than he was.

He shatters the great without inquiry, ¹  and sets up others in their place.

He ¹  does not slander, ²  or do harm to others, ³  or insult his neighbor. ⁴ 

Some trust in chariots and others in horses, ¹  but we ²  depend on ³  the Lord our God.

Then I will tell others about your justice, ¹  and praise you all day long. ² 

All day long he shows compassion and lends to others, ¹  and his children ²  are blessed.

I weep and refrain from eating food, ¹  which causes others to insult me. ² 

For he will never be upended; others will always remember one who is just. ¹
