They observed a time of fasting and put Naboth in front of the people.

This Passover was observed in the eighteenth year of Josiah’s reign.

¹  The exiles ²  observed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

For I envied those who are proud, as I observed ¹  the prosperity ²  of the wicked.

I have observed the burden that God has given to people ¹  to keep them occupied.

His master observed that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made everything he was doing successful. ¹ 

He delivered his people; ¹  he ordained that his covenant be observed forever. ²  His name is holy and awesome.

This is what I also observed about wisdom on earth, ¹  and it is a great burden ²  to me:

After Isaac ¹  had been there a long time, ²  Abimelech king of the Philistines happened to look out a window and observed ³  Isaac caressing ⁴  his wife Rebekah.

Here is what the Lord of hosts says: ‘I carefully observed how the Amalekites opposed ¹  Israel along the way when Israel ²  came up from Egypt.

they observed the practices ¹  of the nations whom the Lord had driven out from before Israel, and followed the example of the kings of Israel. ² 

But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah’s reign, such a Passover of the Lord was observed in Jerusalem.

Josiah observed a Passover festival for the Lord in Jerusalem. ¹  They slaughtered the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the first month.

So the Israelites who were present observed the Passover at that time, as well as the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days.

They observed the Festival of Temporary Shelters ¹  as required ²  and offered the proper number of ³  daily burnt offerings according to the requirement for each day.

The people ¹  of Israel – the priests, the Levites, and the rest of the exiles ²  – observed the dedication of this temple of God with joy.

Then the Lord said, “You have observed correctly. This means ¹  I am watching to make sure my threats are carried out.” ² 

A Passover like this had not been observed in Israel since the days of Samuel the prophet. None of the kings of Israel had observed a Passover like the one celebrated by Josiah, the priests, the Levites, all the people of Judah and Israel who were there, and the residents of Jerusalem.

Then he said, ‘Observe ¹  that all the male goats mating with ²  the flock are streaked, speckled, or spotted, for I have observed all that Laban has done to you.

When they came to the threshing floor of Atad ¹  on the other side of the Jordan, they mourned there with very great and bitter sorrow. ²  There Joseph observed a seven day period of mourning for his father.
