That night God told Nathan the prophet, ¹ 

Day after day it speaks out; ¹  night after night it reveals his greatness. ² 

For those who sleep, sleep at night and those who get drunk are drunk at night.

Night pierces ¹  my bones; ²  my gnawing pains ³  never cease.

You established the cycle of day and night; ¹  you put the moon ²  and sun in place. ³
