They ¹  said to him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.”

Or the seven loaves for the four thousand and how many baskets you took up?

because they did not understand about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.

He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They replied, “Seven.”

He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. He ¹  gave them to his ²  disciples to serve the people, and he divided the two fish among them all.

Now what do you have at your disposal? ¹  Give me five loaves of bread, or whatever can be found.”

Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They replied, “Seven – and a few small fish.”

He must present this grain offering ¹  in addition to ring-shaped loaves of leavened bread which regularly accompany ²  the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offering.

“You must take choice wheat flour ¹  and bake twelve loaves; ²  there must be two tenths of an ephah of flour in ³  each loaf,

They will ask you how you’re doing and will give you two loaves of bread. You will accept them.

Jesse said to his son David, “Take your brothers this ephah of roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread; go quickly ¹  to the camp to your brothers.

Take ¹  ten loaves of bread, some small cakes, and a container of honey and visit him. He will tell you what will happen to the boy.”

Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up?

He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” When they found out, they said, “Five – and two fish.”

When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you pick up?” They replied, “Twelve.”

“When I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you pick up?” They replied, ¹  “Seven.”

“Here is a boy who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what good ¹  are these for so many people?”

So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves ¹  left over by the people who had eaten.

For a tent was prepared, the outer one, ¹  which contained ²  the lampstand, the table, and the presentation of the loaves; this ³  is called the holy place.

If he presents it on account of thanksgiving, ¹  along with the thank offering sacrifice he must present unleavened loaves mixed with olive oil, unleavened wafers smeared with olive oil, ²  and well soaked ³  ring-shaped loaves made of choice wheat flour ⁴  mixed with olive oil.
