However, God heard; he listened to my prayer.

Moses listened to ¹  his father-in-law and did everything he had said.

So Samuel listened to everything the people said and then reported it to the Lord. ¹ 

“People ¹  listened to me and waited silently; ²  they kept silent for my advice.

If I had harbored sin in my heart, ¹  the Lord would not have listened.

The whole group kept quiet ¹  and listened to Barnabas and Paul while they explained all the miraculous signs ²  and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them.
