and endurance, character, and character, hope.

where then ¹  is my hope? And my hope, ²  who sees it?

For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees?

Is not your piety ¹  your confidence, ²  and your blameless ways your hope? ³ 

Such is the destiny ¹  of all who forget God; the hope of the godless ²  perishes,

But now, O Lord, upon what am I relying? You are my only hope! ¹ 

ז (Zayin) Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.

כ (Kaf) I desperately long for ¹  your deliverance. I find hope in your word.

You are my hiding place and my shield. I find hope in your word.

I am up before dawn crying for help. I find hope in your word.

I hope for your deliverance, O Lord, and I obey ¹  your commands.

The hope ¹  of the righteous is joy, but the expectation of the wicked will remain unfulfilled. ² 

When a wicked person dies, his expectation perishes, ¹  and the hope of his strength ²  perishes. ³
