Although you were a powerful man, ¹  owning land, ²  an honored man ³  living on it, ⁴ 

He generously gives ¹  to the needy; his integrity endures. ²  He will be vindicated and honored. ³ 

But ¹  you are willing to forgive, ²  so that you might ³  be honored. ⁴ 

So pray this way: ¹  Our Father ²  in heaven, may your name be honored, ³ 

What more can David say ¹  to you? You have honored your servant; you have given your servant special recognition. ² 

If ¹  his sons are honored, ²  he does not know it; ³  if they are brought low, he does not see ⁴  it.

If one member suffers, everyone suffers with it. If a ¹  member is honored, all rejoice with it.

The one who tends a fig tree ¹  will eat its fruit, ²  and whoever takes care of ³  his master will be honored.

Go up to the hill country and bring back timber to build ¹  the temple. ²  Then I will be pleased and honored,’ ³  says the Lord.

Finally, pray for us, brothers and sisters, ¹  that the Lord’s message ²  may spread quickly and be honored ³  as in fact it was among you,

Marriage must be honored among all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge sexually immoral people and adulterers.

So when God destroyed ¹  the cities of the region, ²  God honored ³  Abraham’s request. He removed Lot ⁴  from the midst of the destruction when he destroyed ⁵  the cities Lot had lived in.

And as for me, I am going to harden ¹  the hearts of the Egyptians so that ²  they will come after them, that I may be honored ³  because ⁴  of Pharaoh and his army and his chariots and his horsemen.

Moses then said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke: ‘Among the ones close to me I will show myself holy, ¹  and in the presence of all the people I will be honored.’” ²  So Aaron kept silent.
