Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest ¹  to send out ²  workers into his harvest.”

He ¹  said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest ²  to send out ³  workers into his harvest.

“‘When you gather in the harvest ¹  of your land, you must not completely harvest the corner of your field, ²  and you must not gather up the gleanings of your harvest.

In a year’s time ¹  you carefree ones will shake with fear, for the grape ²  harvest will fail, and the fruit harvest will not arrive.
