From whose womb does the ice emerge, and the frost from the sky, ¹  who gives birth to it,

He sends the snow that is white like wool; he spreads the frost that is white like ashes. ¹ 

When ¹  the layer of dew had evaporated, ²  there on the surface of the desert was a thin flaky substance, ³  thin like frost on the earth.

So the Lord says concerning King Jehoiakim of Judah, “None of his line will occupy the throne of David. ¹  His dead body will be thrown out to be exposed to scorching heat by day and frost by night. ²
