I beat them ¹  to death; ²  they fall at my feet. ³ 

They will fall down, ¹  but we ²  will stand firm. ³ 

Peter ¹  said to him, “If they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away!”

You will pursue your enemies and they will fall before you by the sword. ¹ 

But as for you, your dead bodies will fall in this wilderness,

Would not his splendor ¹  terrify ²  you and the fear he inspires ³  fall on you?

For to the snow he says, ‘Fall ¹  to earth,’ and to the torrential rains, ²  ‘Pour down.’ ³ 

Even if ¹  he trips, he will not fall headlong, ²  for the Lord holds ³  his hand.

He caused them to fall right in the middle of their camp, all around their homes.

Yet you will die like mortals; ¹  you will fall like all the other rulers.” ² 

Let the wicked fall ¹  into their ²  own nets, while I escape. ³ 

¹ The Lord supports all who fall, and lifts up all who are bent over. ² 

Pride ¹  goes ²  before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. ³ 

Your ¹  men will fall by the sword, your strong men will die in battle. ² 

“Fall into ranks with your shields ready! ¹  Prepare to march into battle!

The slain will fall among you and then you will know that I am the Lord. ¹ 

You will fall dead in the open field; for I have spoken, declares the sovereign Lord.

Peter said to him, “Even if they all fall away, I will not!”

So ¹  he said to them, “I saw ²  Satan fall ³  like lightning ⁴  from heaven.

“I have told you all these things so that you will not fall away. ¹
