For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain.

With her dying breath, ¹  she named him Ben-Oni. ²  But his father called him Benjamin instead. ³ 

From the city the dying ¹  groan, and the wounded ²  cry out for help, but God charges no one with wrongdoing. ³ 

the blessing of the dying man descended on me, ¹  and I made the widow’s heart rejoice; ²

But when he came to his senses ¹  he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired workers have food ²  enough to spare, but here I am dying from hunger!

If then I am in the wrong ¹  and have done anything that deserves death, I am not trying to escape dying, ²  but if not one of their charges against me is true, ³  no one can hand me over to them. ⁴  I appeal to Caesar!” ⁵
