People lie to one another; ¹  they flatter and deceive. ² 

And many false prophets will appear and deceive ¹  many,

You do damage with words, ¹  and use your tongue to deceive. ² 

Once and for all I have vowed by my own holiness, I will never deceive ¹  David.

I say this so that no one will deceive you through arguments ¹  that sound reasonable. ² 

These things I have written to you about those who are trying to deceive you. ¹ 

From the ends of the earth we ¹  hear songs – the Just One is majestic. ²  But I ³  say, “I’m wasting away! I’m wasting away! I’m doomed! Deceivers deceive, deceivers thoroughly deceive!” ⁴ 

Would it turn out well if he would examine ¹  you? Or as one deceives ²  a man would you deceive him?

For they do not try to make peace with others, ¹  but plan ways to deceive those who are unsuspecting. ² 

I said, ¹  “O Lord, rescue me ²  from those who lie with their lips ³  and those who deceive with their tongue. ⁴ 

Do not be a witness against your neighbor without cause, ¹  and do not deceive with your words. ² 

For false messiahs ¹  and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, the elect.

“Their throats are open graves, ¹  they deceive with their tongues, the poison of asps is under their lips.” ² 

But be sure you live out the message and do not merely listen to it and so deceive yourselves.

Little children, let no one deceive you: The one who practices righteousness ¹  is righteous, just as Jesus ²  is righteous.

The Lord said, ‘Who will deceive Ahab, so he will attack Ramoth Gilead and die ¹  there?’ One said this and another that.
