Always rejoice,

For you will always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me! ¹

He does not always accuse, and does not stay angry. ¹ 

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice!

For you will always have the poor with you, and you can do good for them whenever you want. But you will not always have me! ¹ 

My glory ¹  will always be fresh ²  in me, and my bow ever new in my hand.’

Remember ¹  your compassionate and faithful deeds, O Lord, for you have always acted in this manner. ² 

The Lord always proves faithful and reliable ¹  to those who follow the demands of his covenant. ² 

who are always ready to do wrong ¹  or offer a bribe. ² 

I will always extend my loyal love to him, and my covenant with him is secure. ¹ 

Your throne has been secure from ancient times; you have always been king. ¹ 

He always remembers his covenantal decree, the promise he made ¹  to a thousand generations –

He gives ¹  food to his faithful followers; ²  he always remembers his covenant. ³ 

For he will never be upended; others will always remember one who is just. ¹ 

Your commandments ¹  make me wiser than my enemies, for I am always aware of them.

Let your clothes always be white, and do not spare precious ointment on your head.

I always pray with joy in my every prayer for all of you
