He measured the east side with the measuring stick ¹  as 875 feet ²  by the measuring stick.

He measured the south side as 875 feet by the measuring stick.

He measured the north side as 875 feet by the measuring stick.

He turned to the west side and measured 875 feet by the measuring stick.

Then he brought me to the north gate, and he measured it; it had the same dimensions as the others –

For by the standard you judge you will be judged, and the measure you use will be the measure you receive. ¹ 

Then he brought me to the inner court on the east side. He measured the gate; it had the same dimensions as the others.

He also measured its wall, one hundred forty-four cubits ¹  according to human measurement, which is also the angel’s. ² 

You must not do injustice in the regulation of measures, whether of length, weight, or volume. ¹ 

You must not have in your house different measuring containers, ¹  a large and a small one.

Then he measured the porch of the gate facing inward as 10½ feet.

Give, and it will be given to you: A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, ¹  will be poured ²  into your lap. For the measure you use will be the measure you receive.” ³ 

When he made ¹  the force of the wind and measured ²  the waters with a gauge.

Fill up then the measure of your ancestors!

Now when he had finished measuring the interior of the temple, he led me out by the gate which faces east and measured all around.

Who has measured out the waters ¹  in the hollow of his hand, or carefully ²  measured the sky, ³  or carefully weighed ⁴  the soil of the earth, or weighed the mountains in a balance, or the hills on scales? ⁵ 

Then ¹  a measuring rod ²  like a staff was given to me, and I was told, ³  “Get up and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and the ones who worship there.

Its measure is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

The angel ¹  who spoke to me had a golden measuring rod with which to measure the city and its foundation stones and wall.

The dry and liquid measures will be the same, the bath will contain a tenth of a homer, ¹  and the ephah a tenth of a homer; the homer will be the standard measure.
