Then ¹  Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death – the lake of fire.

If ¹  anyone’s name ²  was not found written in the book of life, that person ³  was thrown into the lake of fire.

As ¹  water disappears from the sea, ²  or a river drains away and dries up,

So ¹  the demons came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the herd of pigs ²  rushed down the steep slope into the lake and drowned.

And the devil who deceived ¹  them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, ²  where the beast and the false prophet are ³  too, and they will be tormented there day and night forever and ever.

So ¹  they came to the other side of the lake, to the region of the Gerasenes. ² 

Now ¹  Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, ²  and the crowd was pressing around him ³  to hear the word of God.

and as they sailed he fell asleep. Now a violent windstorm ¹  came down on the lake, ²  and the boat ³  started filling up with water, and they were in danger.

One ¹  day Jesus ²  got into a boat ³  with his disciples and said to them, “Let’s go across to the other side of the lake.” So ⁴  they set out,

But to the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, ¹  idol worshipers, ²  and all those who lie, their place ³  will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. ⁴  That ⁵  is the second death.”

He ¹  saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gotten out of them and were washing their nets.

So ¹  they sailed over to the region of the Gerasenes, ²  which is opposite ³  Galilee.

Now ¹  the beast was seized, and along with him the false prophet who had performed the signs on his behalf ²  – signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur. ³ 

Now when Jesus saw a large crowd ¹  around him, he gave orders to go to the other side of the lake. ² 

When the disciples went to the other side, they forgot to take bread.

Then ¹  Jesus went away with his disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him. ²  And from Judea,

On that day, when evening came, Jesus ¹  said to his disciples, “Let’s go across to the other side of the lake.” ² 

When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea and he was alone on the land.

When they found him on the other side of the lake, ¹  they said to him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?” ² 

Again he began to teach by the lake. Such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat on the lake and sat there while ¹  the whole crowd was on the shore by the lake.
