God says, ¹  “I will bring down all the power of the wicked; the godly will be victorious.” ² 

“As I was contemplating the horns, another horn – a small one – came up between them, and three of the former horns were torn out by the roots to make room for it. ¹  This horn had eyes resembling human eyes and a mouth speaking arrogant ²  things.

While I was watching, that horn began to wage war against the holy ones and was defeating ¹  them,

(2:1) ¹  Once again I looked and this time I saw four horns.

You are to make its four horns ¹  on its four corners; its horns will be part of it, ²  and you are to overlay it with bronze.

They swore their allegiance to the Lord, shouting their approval loudly and sounding trumpets and horns. ¹ 

I also wanted to know ¹  the meaning of the ten horns on its head, and of that other horn which came up and before which three others fell. This was the horn that had eyes ²  and a mouth speaking arrogant things, whose appearance was more formidable than the others. ³ 

He made its horns on its four corners; its horns were part of it, ¹  and he overlaid it with bronze.

Adonijah feared Solomon, so he got up and went and grabbed hold of the horns of the altar. ¹ 

The ram that you saw with the two horns stands for the kings of Media and Persia.

I asked, “What are these going to do?” He answered, “These horns are the ones that have scattered Judah so that there is no one to be seen. ¹  But the blacksmiths have come to terrify Judah’s enemies ²  and cut off the horns of the nations that have thrust themselves against the land of Judah in order to scatter its people.” ³ 

The male goat acted even more arrogantly. But no sooner had the large horn become strong than it was broken, and there arose four conspicuous horns ¹  in its place, ²  extending toward the four winds of the sky. ³ 

Then ¹  I saw a beast coming up out of the sea. It ²  had ten horns and seven heads, and on its horns were ten diadem crowns, ³  and on its heads a blasphemous name. ⁴ 

May the firstborn of his bull bring him honor, and may his horns be those of a wild ox; with them may he gore all peoples, all the far reaches of the earth. They are the ten thousands of Ephraim, ¹  and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

Rescue me from the mouth of the lion, ¹  and from the horns of the wild oxen! ²  You have answered me! ³ 

That will please the Lord more than an ox or a bull with horns and hooves.

With trumpets and the blaring of the ram’s horn, shout out praises before the king, the Lord!

Moab’s might will be crushed. Its power will be broken. ¹  I, the Lord, affirm it! ²
