You will not eat anything made with yeast; in all the places where you live you must eat bread made without yeast.’”

These you may eat from among water creatures: anything with fins and scales you may eat,

But ¹  you must not eat meat ²  with its life (that is, ³  its blood) in it. ⁴ 

You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters. ¹ 

All ritually clean birds you may eat.

You may eat any clean bird.

If you have a willing attitude and obey, ¹  then you will again eat the good crops of the land.

“‘These you can eat from all creatures that are in the water: Any creatures in the water that have both fins and scales, ¹  whether in the seas or in the streams, ²  you may eat.

And you must not eat any blood of the birds or the domesticated land animals in any of the places where you live. ¹ 

“‘You must not eat anything with the blood still in it. ¹  You must not practice either divination or soothsaying. ² 

However, you must not eat blood – pour it out on the ground like water.

These are the ones you may not eat: the eagle, ¹  the vulture, ²  the black vulture, ³ 

This is ¹  a perpetual statute throughout your generations ²  in all the places where you live: You must never eat any fat or any blood.’” ³ 

“Tell the Israelites, ‘You must not eat any fat of an ox, sheep, or goat.

You may eat any among the animals that has a divided hoof (the hooves are completely split in two ¹ ) and that also chews the cud. ² 

You must not eat from their meat and you must not touch their carcasses; ¹  they are unclean to you.

Since they are detestable to you, you must not eat their meat and their carcass you must detest.

Then in the fifth year you may eat its fruit to add its produce to your harvest. ¹  I am the Lord your God.

Then on the fifteenth day of the same month ¹  will be the festival of unleavened bread to the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread.

Because that year is a jubilee, it will be holy to you – you may eat its produce ¹  from the field.
