A foreigner and a hired worker must not eat it.

But whenever raw flesh appears in it ¹  he will be unclean,

You must not rule over him harshly, ¹  but you must fear your God.

He will say, “Where are their gods, the rock in whom they sought security,

Can you play ¹  with it, like a bird, or tie it on a leash ²  for your girls?

This is the Lord’s gate – the godly enter through it.

Guide me ¹  in the path of your commands, for I delight to walk in it. ² 

While they are watching, dig a hole in the wall and carry your belongings out through it.

Doesn’t my master drink from this cup ¹  and use it for divination? ²  You have done wrong!’” ³ 

So Jacob went on his way and the angels of God ¹  met him.

His brothers were jealous ¹  of him, but his father kept in mind what Joseph said. ² 

The field and the cave in it were acquired from the sons of Heth.” ¹ 

“With it you are to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark of the testimony,

“When someone’s body has a boil on its skin ¹  and it heals,

If a false ¹  witness testifies against another person and accuses him of a crime, ² 

Let the sea and everything in it shout! Let the fields and everything in them celebrate!

“Let the day on which ¹  I was born ²  perish, and the night that said, ³  ‘A man ⁴  has been conceived!’ ⁵ 

If he is uprooted ¹  from his place, then that place ²  will disown him, saying, ³  ‘I have never seen you!’

All humanity has seen it; people gaze on it from afar.

Will you rely on it because its strength is great? Will you commit ¹  your labor to it?
