When he finished speaking with Abraham, God went up from him. ¹ 

Then Shechem’s father Hamor went to speak with Jacob about Dinah. ¹ 

The one who despises instruction ¹  will pay the penalty, ²  but whoever esteems instruction ³  will ⁴  be rewarded. ⁵ 

A time to rip, and a time to sew; a time to keep silent, and a time to speak.

So the warden ¹  agreed to their proposal ²  and tested them for ten ³  days.

Then Abraham asked, “Since I have undertaken to speak to the Lord ¹  (although I am but dust and ashes), ² 

The Lord went on his way ¹  when he had finished speaking ²  to Abraham. Then Abraham returned home. ³ 

When he had finished ¹  speaking ²  all these words, the ground that was under them split open,

Balaam replied, ¹  “Must I not be careful ²  to speak what the Lord has put in my mouth?” ³ 

Teach them to your children and speak of them as you sit in your house, as you walk along the road, ¹  as you lie down, and as you get up.

Then, when the officers have finished speaking, ¹  they must appoint unit commanders ²  to lead the troops.
