I will sing praises ¹  to the Lord when he vindicates me. ² 

ג (Gimel) Be kind to your servant! Then I will live ¹  and keep ²  your instructions. ³ 

He does not deal with us as our sins deserve; ¹  he does not repay us as our misdeeds deserve. ² 

Rest once more, my soul, ¹  for the Lord has vindicated you. ² 

A kind person ¹  benefits ²  himself, ³  but a cruel person brings himself trouble. ⁴ 

When he sees chariots, teams of horses, ¹  riders on donkeys, riders on camels, he must be alert, very alert.”

For before the harvest, when the bud has sprouted, and the ripening fruit appears, ¹  he will cut off the unproductive shoots ²  with pruning knives; he will prune the tendrils. ³
