But now, look, Adonijah has become king! But you, ¹  my master the king, are not even aware of it! ² 

“And now I have become their taunt song; I have become a byword ¹  among them.

I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye has seen you. ¹ 

So now, you kings, do what is wise; ¹  you rulers of the earth, submit to correction! ² 

And now ¹  they are tearing down ²  all its engravings ³  with axes ⁴  and crowbars. ⁵ 

Now it is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty land. ¹ 

And now, ¹  I will break Assyria’s ²  yoke bar ³  from your neck; ⁴  I will tear apart the shackles ⁵  that are on you.” ⁶ 

“Now, you priests, this commandment is for you.

You have also established prophets to announce ¹  in Jerusalem ²  on your behalf, ‘We have a king in Judah!’ Now the king is going to hear about these rumors. So come on! Let’s talk about this.” ³ 

Now then, my son, do ¹  exactly what I tell you! ² 

So now, let the power of my Lord ¹  be great, just as you have said,

Now this is what we will do to Gibeah: We will attack the city as the lot dictates. ¹ 

Now you say, ‘Go and say to your master, “Elijah is back.”’ ¹ 

Now, our God, we give thanks to you and praise your majestic name!

“Now then, be good enough to look ¹  at me; ²  and I will not ³  lie to your face!

“And now my soul pours itself out within me; ¹  days of suffering take hold of me.

But now, O Lord, upon what am I relying? You are my only hope! ¹ 

Before I was afflicted I used to stray off, ¹  but now I keep your instructions. ² 

So now, children, ¹  listen to me; do not turn aside from the words I speak. ² 

So now, sons, ¹  listen to me, and pay attention to the words I speak. ²
