Ahiah, Hanan, Anan,

when I made ¹  the storm clouds its garment, and thick darkness its swaddling band, ² 

He spread out a cloud for a cover, ¹  and provided a fire to light up the night.

Whenever ¹  I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,

As ¹  a cloud is dispersed and then disappears, ²  so the one who goes down to the grave ³  does not come up again. ⁴ 

He locks the waters in his clouds, and the clouds do not burst with the weight of them.

He loads the clouds with moisture; ¹  he scatters his lightning through the clouds.

Dark clouds surround him; equity and justice are the foundation of his throne. ¹ 

And the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent; he then called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward.

The Lord appeared in the tent in a pillar of cloud that ¹  stood above the door of the tent.

He spoke to them from a pillar of cloud; ¹  they obeyed his regulations and the ordinance he gave them.

For the day is near, the day of the Lord is near; it will be a day of storm clouds, ¹  it will be a time of judgment ²  for the nations.

Now the Lord was going before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them in the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, ¹  so that they could ²  travel day or night. ³ 

For the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, but fire would be ¹  on it at night, in plain view ²  of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

He must then put the incense on the fire before the Lord, and the cloud of incense will cover the atonement plate which is above the ark of the testimony, ¹  so that he will not die. ² 

You approached and stood at the foot of the mountain, a mountain ablaze to the sky above it ¹  and yet dark with a thick cloud. ² 

You guided them with a pillar of cloud by day and with a pillar of fire by night to illumine for them the path they were to travel.

In Tahpanhes the day will be dark ¹  when I break the yoke of Egypt there. Her confident pride will cease within her; a cloud will cover her, and her daughters will go into captivity.

That day will be a day of God’s anger, ¹  a day of distress and hardship, a day of devastation and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and dark skies,

then they will tell it to the inhabitants ¹  of this land. They have heard that you, Lord, are among this people, that you, Lord, are seen face to face, ²  that your cloud stands over them, and that you go before them by day in a pillar of cloud and in a pillar of fire by night.
