Praise him, O highest heaven, and you waters above the sky! ¹ 

So the Israelites went through the middle of the sea on dry ground, the water forming a wall ¹  for them on their right and on their left.

The waters completely inundated ¹  the earth so that even ²  all the high mountains under the entire sky were covered.

The waters kept on receding ¹  until the tenth month. On the first day of the tenth month, the tops of the mountains became visible. ² 

The men of the city said to Elisha, “Look, the city has a good location, as our ¹  master can see. But the water is bad and the land doesn’t produce crops.” ² 

Then he brought me back to the entrance of the temple. I noticed ¹  that water was flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was flowing down from under the right side of the temple, from south of the altar.
