The Lord takes notice of us, ¹  he will bless ²  – he will bless the family ³  of Israel, he will bless the family of Aaron.

He will bless his loyal followers, ¹  both young and old. ² 

His descendants ¹  will be powerful on the earth; the godly ²  will be blessed.

Yes indeed, the man who fears the Lord will be blessed in this way. ¹ 

The Lord’s curse ¹  is on the household ²  of the wicked, ³  but he blesses ⁴  the home ⁵  of the righteous. ⁶ 

A generous person ¹  will be blessed, ²  for he gives some of his food ³  to the poor.

There is a generation ¹  who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers. ² 

May the sovereign God ¹  bless you! May he make you fruitful and give you a multitude of descendants! ²  Then you will become ³  a large nation. ⁴ 

The Lord gives ¹  his people strength; ²  the Lord grants his people security. ³ 

He pronounces this blessing on himself while he is alive: “May men praise you, for you have done well!”

So he blessed them that day, saying, “By you ¹  will Israel bless, ²  saying, ‘May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh.’” So he put Ephraim before Manasseh. ³ 

the Angel ¹  who has protected me ²  from all harm – bless these boys. May my name be named in them, ³  and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac. May they grow into a multitude on the earth.”

When you enter the town, you can find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. The people won’t eat until he arrives, for he must bless the sacrifice. Once that happens, those who have been invited will eat. Now go on up, for ¹  this is the time when you can find him!”

Now be willing to bless your servant’s dynasty ¹  so that it may stand permanently before you, for you, O sovereign Lord, have spoken. By your blessing may your servant’s dynasty be blessed on into the future!” ²
