will you, with him, spread out ¹  the clouds, solid as a mirror of molten metal?

He gave a command to the clouds above, and opened the doors in the sky.

By his knowledge the primordial sea ¹  was broken open, ²  and the clouds drip down dew. ³ 

when he established the clouds above, when the fountains of the deep grew strong, ¹ 

There is no one like God, O Jeshurun, ¹  who rides through the sky ²  to help you, on the clouds in majesty.

He shrouded himself in darkness, ¹  in thick rain clouds. ² 

Gaze at the heavens and see; consider the clouds, which are higher than you! ¹ 

which the clouds pour down and shower on humankind abundantly.

Who by wisdom can count the clouds, and who can tip over ¹  the water jars of heaven,

O Lord, your loyal love reaches to the sky; ¹  your faithfulness to the clouds. ² 

it will remain stable, like the moon, ¹  his throne will endure like the skies.” ²  (Selah)

But now, the sun ¹  cannot be looked at ²  – it is bright in the skies – after a wind passed and swept the clouds away. ³ 

He shrouded himself in darkness, ¹  in thick rain clouds. ² 

For your loyal love extends beyond the sky, ¹  and your faithfulness reaches the clouds.

Acknowledge God’s power, ¹  his sovereignty over Israel, and the power he reveals in the skies! ² 

The clouds poured down rain; ¹  the skies thundered. ²  Yes, your arrows ³  flashed about.

For who in the skies can compare to the Lord? Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings, ¹ 

For your loyal love extends beyond the sky, ¹  and your faithfulness reaches the clouds.

Look, the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales. He lifts ¹  the coastlands ²  as if they were dust.

O sky, rain down from above! Let the clouds send down showers ¹  of deliverance! Let the earth absorb it ²  so salvation may grow, ³  and deliverance may sprout up ⁴  along with it. I, the Lord, create it. ⁵
