God says, ¹  “I will bring down all the power of the wicked; the godly will be victorious.” ² 

You are to make its four horns ¹  on its four corners; its horns will be part of it, ²  and you are to overlay it with bronze.

The ram that you saw with the two horns stands for the kings of Media and Persia.

(2:1) ¹  Once again I looked and this time I saw four horns.

I asked, “What are these going to do?” He answered, “These horns are the ones that have scattered Judah so that there is no one to be seen. ¹  But the blacksmiths have come to terrify Judah’s enemies ²  and cut off the horns of the nations that have thrust themselves against the land of Judah in order to scatter its people.” ³ 

Its length is to be a foot and a half ¹  and its width a foot and a half; it will be square. Its height is to be three feet, ²  with its horns of one piece with it. ³ 

My God ¹  is my rocky summit where I take shelter, ²  my shield, the horn that saves me, ³  my stronghold, my refuge, my savior. You save me from violence! ⁴

He generously gives ¹  to the needy; his integrity endures. ²  He will be vindicated and honored. ³
