Wisdom is supreme ¹  – so ²  acquire wisdom, and whatever you acquire, ³  acquire understanding! ⁴ 

Acquire wisdom, acquire understanding; do not forget and do not turn aside from the words I speak. ¹ 

How much better it is to acquire ¹  wisdom than gold; to acquire understanding is more desirable ²  than silver.

Then Boaz said, “When ¹  you acquire the field ²  from Naomi, ³  you must also ⁴  acquire Ruth the Moabite, ⁵  the wife of our deceased relative, ⁶  in order to preserve his family name by raising up a descendant who will inherit his property.” ⁷ 

So the guardian said to Boaz, “You may acquire it,” and he removed his sandal. ¹ 

He brought them to the border of his holy land, to this mountainous land ¹  which his right hand ²  acquired.

Certainly ¹  you made my mind and heart; ²  you wove me together ³  in my mother’s womb.

(Let the wise also ¹  hear ²  and gain ³  instruction, and let the discerning ⁴  acquire ⁵  guidance! ⁶ )

The Lord created ¹  me as the beginning ²  of his works, ³  before his deeds of long ago.

The one who refuses correction despises himself, ¹  but whoever hears ²  reproof acquires understanding. ³ 

The discerning person ¹  acquires knowledge, and the wise person ²  seeks ³  knowledge.

The one who acquires wisdom ¹  loves himself; ²  the one who preserves understanding will prosper. ³ 

“It’s worthless! It’s worthless!” ¹  says the buyer, ²  but when he goes on his way, he boasts. ³ 

Acquire ¹  truth and do not sell it – wisdom, and discipline, and understanding.

So I bought the shorts as the Lord had told me to do ¹  and put them on. ² 

But the king said to Araunah, “No, I insist on buying it from you! I will not offer to the Lord my God burnt sacrifices that cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty pieces of silver. ¹ 

He blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by ¹  the Most High God, Creator ²  of heaven and earth. ³ 

This was the field Abraham had purchased from the sons of Heth. ¹  There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah.

¹ “If you buy ²  a Hebrew servant, ³  he is to serve you for six years, but in the seventh year he will go out free ⁴  without paying anything. ⁵ 

You may buy it from your fellow citizen according to the number of years since ¹  the last jubilee; he may sell it to you according to the years of produce that are left. ²
