When Pharaoh’s officials saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh. So Abram’s wife ¹  was taken ²  into the household of Pharaoh, ³ 

Then Jacob blessed Pharaoh and went out from his presence. ¹ 

Now Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand, so I took the grapes, squeezed them into his ¹  cup, and put the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.” ² 

Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “Both dreams of Pharaoh have the same meaning. ¹  God has revealed ²  to Pharaoh what he is about to do. ³ 

Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “It is not within my power, ¹  but God will speak concerning ²  the welfare of Pharaoh.” ³ 

This is just what I told ¹  Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Then Joseph brought in his father Jacob and presented him ¹  before Pharaoh. Jacob blessed ²  Pharaoh.

Moses ¹  went out ²  from Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord,

The Lover to His Beloved: O my beloved, you are like ¹  a ²  mare ³  among Pharaoh’s stallions. ⁴ 

Then Pharaoh summoned ¹  Joseph. So they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; he shaved himself, changed his clothes, and came before Pharaoh.

Pharaoh also said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, but without your permission ¹  no one ²  will move his hand or his foot ³  in all the land of Egypt.”

Now Joseph was 30 years old ¹  when he began serving ²  Pharaoh king of Egypt. Joseph was commissioned by ³  Pharaoh and was in charge of ⁴  all the land of Egypt.

Now it was reported ¹  in the household of Pharaoh, “Joseph’s brothers have arrived.” It pleased ²  Pharaoh and his servants.

Pharaoh said to Joseph’s ¹  brothers, “What is your occupation?” They said to Pharaoh, “Your servants take care of flocks, just as our ancestors did.” ² 

Then Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh, and Moses cried ¹  to the Lord because of ²  the frogs that he had brought on ³  Pharaoh.

The magicians said ¹  to Pharaoh, “It is the finger ²  of God!” But Pharaoh’s heart remained hard, ³  and he did not listen to them, just as the Lord had predicted.

Pharaoh sent representatives to investigate, ¹  and indeed, not even one of the livestock of Israel had died. But Pharaoh’s heart remained hard, ²  and he did not release the people.

I will harden ¹  Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after them. I will gain honor ²  because of Pharaoh and because of all his army, and the Egyptians will know ³  that I am the Lord.” So this is what they did. ⁴ 

“Pharaoh will see them and be consoled over all his hordes who were killed by the sword, Pharaoh and all his army, declares the sovereign Lord.

This advice made sense to Pharaoh and all his officials. ¹
