the Jebusites, ¹  Amorites, ²  Girgashites, ³ 

So the Israelites ¹  lived in the land of the Amorites.

The border of Amorite territory ran from the Scorpion Ascent ¹  to Sela and on up. ² 

as well as the Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites,

Sihon, king of the Amorites, for his loyal love endures,

From there they moved on and camped on the other side of the Arnon, in the wilderness that extends from the regions ¹  of the Amorites, for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.

Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites, and Jebusites.” ¹

including the hill country, the lowlands, ¹  the Arabah, the slopes, the wilderness, and the Negev – the land of ²  the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites:

to the south; ¹  all the Canaanite territory, ²  from Arah ³  in the region of Sidon ⁴  to Aphek, as far as Amorite territory;

and all the cities of King Sihon of the Amorites who ruled in Heshbon, and ended at the Ammonite border.

The Amorites forced the people of Dan to live in the hill country. They did not allow them to live in ¹  the coastal plain.

The Israelites lived among the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.
