So the young prophet ¹  went to Ramoth Gilead.

“So now, please let your servant remain as my lord’s slave instead of the boy. As for the boy, let him go back with his brothers.

when the Almighty ¹  was still with me and my children were ²  around me;

the young men would see me and step aside, ¹  and the old men would get up and remain standing;

you young men and young women, you elderly, along with you children!

To impart ¹  shrewdness ²  to the morally naive, ³  and ⁴  a discerning ⁵  plan ⁶  to the young person. ⁷ 

The Lord says, ¹  “I will make youths their officials; malicious young men ²  will rule over them.

Even youths get tired and weary; even strong young men clumsily stumble. ¹ 

The young men perform menial labor; ¹  boys stagger from their labor. ² 

So he ¹  said to his servants, “You two stay ²  here with the donkey while ³  the boy and I go up there. We will worship ⁴  and then return to you.” ⁵
