He reached down from above and grabbed me; ¹  he pulled me from the surging water. ² 

he sets ¹  the lowly ²  on high, that those who mourn ³  are raised ⁴  to safety.

“Dominion ¹  and awesome might ²  belong to ³  God; he establishes peace in his heights. ⁴ 

But as soon as she springs up, ¹  she laughs at the horse and its rider.

They mock ¹  and say evil things; ²  they proudly threaten violence. ³ 

But you, O Lord, reign ¹  forever!

Then I said, ¹  “Lord, from the very beginning you have been seated on your glorious throne on high. You are the place where we can find refuge.

At that time ¹  the Lord will punish ²  the heavenly forces in the heavens ³  and the earthly kings on the earth.

Even now my witness ¹  is in heaven; my advocate ²  is on high.

What then would be one’s lot from God above, one’s heritage from the Almighty ¹  on high?

The countries are assembled all around you; ¹  take once more your rightful place over them! ²
