God called the dry ground “land” ¹  and the gathered waters he called “seas.” God saw that it was good.

So the Israelites went through the middle of the sea on dry ground, the water forming a wall ¹  for them on their right and on their left.

But the Israelites walked on dry ground in the middle of the sea, the water forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.

explain ¹  to your children, ‘Israel crossed the Jordan River ²  on dry ground.’

He turned the sea into dry land; ¹  they passed through the river on foot. ²  Let us rejoice in him there! ³ 

Instead, they tried to row ¹  back to land, ²  but they were not able to do so ³  because the storm kept growing worse and worse. ⁴ 

Then the Lord commanded ¹  the fish and it disgorged Jonah on dry land.

God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place ¹  and let dry ground appear.” ²  It was so.

And as for you, ¹  lift up your staff and extend your hand toward the sea and divide it, so that ²  the Israelites may go through the middle of the sea on dry ground.

You split the sea before them, and they crossed through ¹  the sea on dry ground! But you threw their pursuers ²  into the depths, like a stone into surging ³  waters.

For I will pour water on the parched ground ¹  and cause streams to flow ²  on the dry land. I will pour my spirit on your offspring and my blessing on your children.

He said to them, “I am a Hebrew! And I worship ¹  the Lord, ²  the God of heaven, ³  who made the sea and the dry land.”

And if ¹  they do not believe even these two signs or listen to you, ²  then take ³  some water from the Nile and pour it out on the dry ground. The water you take out of the Nile will become blood on the dry ground.” ⁴ 

For the horses of Pharaoh came with his chariots and his footmen into the sea, and the Lord brought back the waters of the sea on them, but the Israelites walked on dry land in the middle of the sea.”
