All ¹  these things are the beginning of birth pains.

Command and teach these things.

Am I saying these things only on the basis of common sense, ¹  or does the law not say this as well?

“Have you understood all these things?” They replied, “Yes.”

But ¹  they could not reply ²  to this.

Jesus ¹  said these things while he was teaching in the synagogue ²  in Capernaum. ³ 

While he was saying these things, many people ¹  believed in him.

“I have spoken these things while staying ¹  with you.

This ¹  I command you – to love one another.

“I have told you all these things so that you will not fall away. ¹ 

Then the high priest said, “Are these things true?” ¹ 

Did my hand ¹  not make all these things?’ ² 

After ¹  he had said ²  this, ³  he dismissed the assembly. ⁴ 

Reinforce ¹  these commands, ²  so that they will be beyond reproach.

These things I have written to you about those who are trying to deceive you. ¹ 

“Tell us, when will these things ¹  happen? And what will be the sign that all these things are about to take place?”

(His disciples did not understand these things when they first happened, ¹  but when Jesus was glorified, ²  then they remembered that these things were written about him and that these things had happened ³  to him.) ⁴ 

and said, “By what authority ¹  are you doing these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”

So ¹  they asked him, ²  “Teacher, when will these things ³  happen? And what will be the sign that ⁴  these things are about to take place?”

And he said to him, “I will give you all these things if you throw yourself to the ground and worship ¹  me.”
