Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ ¹  or ‘There he is!’ do not believe him.

I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe. ¹ 

So Jesus said to him, “Unless you people ¹  see signs and wonders you will never believe!” ² 

and I am glad ¹  for your sake that I was not there, so that you may believe. ²  But let us go to him.”

So then, if someone ¹  says to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ ²  do not go out, or ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe him.

and said, “If ¹  you are the Christ, ²  tell us.” But he said to them, “If ³  I tell you, you will not ⁴  believe,

Thus I told you ¹  that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am he, ²  you will die in your sins.”

‘Look, you scoffers; be amazed and perish! ¹  For I am doing a work in your days, a work you would never believe, even if someone tells you.’” ²
