“I have spoken these things while staying ¹  with you.

When his family ¹  heard this they went out to restrain him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

Others, to test ¹  him, ²  began asking for ³  a sign ⁴  from heaven.

but ¹  I know him, because I have come from him ²  and he ³  sent me.”

So the lame man ¹  paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them.

Why do you people ¹  think ²  it is unbelievable ³  that ⁴  God raises the dead?

And this is my covenant with them, ¹  when I take away their sins.” ² 

Thus he became ¹  so far better than the angels as ²  he has inherited a name superior to theirs.

After assembling all the chief priests and experts in the law, ¹  he asked them where the Christ ²  was to be born.

Then Herod ¹  privately summoned the wise men and determined from them when the star had appeared.

The ¹  whole crowd was trying to touch him, because power ²  was coming out from him and healing them all.

But when Jesus discerned their innermost thoughts, ¹  he took a child, had him stand by ²  his side,

As he spoke, ¹  a Pharisee ²  invited Jesus ³  to have a meal with him, so he went in and took his place at the table. ⁴ 

So when the Samaritans came to him, they began asking ¹  him to stay with them. ²  He stayed there two days,

and because he worked at the same trade, he stayed with them and worked with them ¹  (for they were tentmakers ²  by trade). ³ 

When you examine ¹  him yourself, you will be able to learn from him ²  about all these things we are accusing him of doing.” ³ 

There ¹  we found ²  some brothers ³  and were invited to stay with them seven days. And in this way we came to Rome. ⁴ 

But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach ¹  a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, ²  let him be condemned to hell! ³ 

As we have said before, and now I say again, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be condemned to hell! ¹
