and the way of peace they have not known.” ¹ 

And you know the way where I am going.” ¹ 

“Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way by the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles –

But you should be eager for the greater gifts. And now I will show you a way that is beyond comparison. ¹ 

no bag ¹  for the journey, or an extra tunic, ²  or sandals or staff, ³  for the worker deserves his provisions.

the voice of one shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make ¹  his paths straight.’” ² 

Many spread their cloaks on the road and others spread branches they had cut in the fields.

to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, ¹  to guide our feet into the way ²  of peace.”

Do not carry ¹  a money bag, ²  a traveler’s bag, ³  or sandals, and greet no one on the road. ⁴ 

As ¹  Jesus ²  approached ³  Jericho, ⁴  a blind man was sitting by the road begging.

Thomas said, ¹  “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”

Then they returned to Jerusalem ¹  from the mountain ²  called the Mount of Olives ³  (which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey ⁴  away).

I ¹  persecuted this Way ²  even to the point of death, ³  tying up ⁴  both men and women and putting ⁵  them in prison,

Requesting him to do them a favor against Paul, ¹  they urged Festus ²  to summon him to Jerusalem, planning an ambush ³  to kill him along the way.

by the fresh and living way that he inaugurated for us ¹  through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, ²

As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, ¹  “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way, ² 

Jesus ¹  was going through the grain fields on a Sabbath, and his disciples began to pick some heads of wheat ²  as they made their way.
