When ¹  it was evening, he took his place at the table ²  with the twelve. ³ 

I ¹  begged ²  your disciples to cast it out, but ³  they could not do so.” ⁴ 

Again the next day John ¹  was standing there ²  with two of his disciples.

Now a dispute came about between some of John’s disciples and a certain Jew ¹  concerning ceremonial washing. ² 

So Jesus went on up the mountainside ¹  and sat down there with his disciples.

One of Jesus’ disciples, ¹  Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him,

Another ¹  of the ²  disciples said to him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

Now when John ¹  heard in prison about the deeds Christ ²  had done, he sent his disciples to ask a question: ³ 

And they saw that some of Jesus’ disciples ate their bread with unclean hands, that is, unwashed.

Immediately he got into a boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha. ¹ 

After this many of his disciples quit following him ¹  and did not accompany him ²  any longer.

But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was going to betray him) ¹  said,

While this was happening, ¹  the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching. ² 

and after taking some food, his strength returned. For several days ¹  he was with the disciples in Damascus,

Then ¹  Jesus went away with his disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him. ²  And from Judea,

Now ¹  as they approached Jerusalem, ²  near Bethphage ³  and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, ⁴  Jesus ⁵  sent two of his disciples

Now ¹  as Jesus ²  was going out of the temple courts, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, look at these tremendous stones and buildings!” ³ 

Now ¹  when he approached Bethphage ²  and Bethany, at the place called the Mount of Olives, ³  he sent two of the disciples,

Then many of his disciples, when they heard these things, ¹  said, “This is a difficult ²  saying! ³  Who can understand it?” ⁴ 

He poured water into the washbasin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to dry them with the towel he had wrapped around himself. ¹
