Then Peter denied it again, and immediately a rooster crowed. ¹ 

But he denied it in front of them all: ¹  “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”

He denied it again with an oath, “I do not know the man!”

But Peter ¹  denied it: “Woman, ²  I don’t know ³  him!”

By faith, when he grew up, Moses refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,

He confessed – he did not deny but confessed – “I am not the Christ!” ¹ 

But he denied it: ¹  “I don’t even understand what you’re talking about!” ²  Then ³  he went out to the gateway, and a rooster crowed. ⁴ 

Meanwhile Simon Peter was standing in the courtyard ¹  warming himself. They said to him, “You aren’t one of his disciples too, are you?” ²  Peter ³  denied it: “I am not!”
