We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, we are dishonored!

Why too are we in danger every hour?

We are Jews by birth ¹  and not Gentile sinners, ² 

But you, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  are children of the promise like Isaac.

For through the Spirit, by faith, we wait expectantly for the hope of righteousness.

If we sowed spiritual blessings among you, is it too much to reap material things from you?

For we have all received from his fullness one gracious gift after another. ¹ 

We ¹  have come to believe and to know ²  that you are the Holy One of God!” ³ 

And how is it that each one of us hears them ¹  in our own native language? ² 

This Jesus God raised up, and we are all witnesses of it. ¹ 

if ¹  we are being examined ²  today for a good deed ³  done to a sick man – by what means this man was healed ⁴  –

for it is impossible ¹  for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.”

But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

but we preach about a crucified Christ, ¹  a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.

And I hope that you will realize that we have not failed the test! ¹ 

But we are not among those who shrink back and thus perish, but are among those who have faith and preserve their souls. ¹ 

Thus ¹  we are writing these things so that ²  our ³  joy may be complete. ⁴ 

Dear friends, if God so loved us, then ¹  we also ought to love one another. ² 

We love ¹  because he loved us first.

Therefore we ¹  ought to support such people, so that we become coworkers in cooperation with the truth. ²
