So also you, when you see these things happening, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.

When they sprout leaves, you see ¹  for yourselves and know that summer is now near.

he should know that the one who turns a sinner back from his wandering path ¹  will save that person’s ²  soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

By this ¹  you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses ²  Jesus as the Christ ³  who has come in the flesh is from God,

and in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, because the sky is red and darkening.’ ¹  You know how to judge correctly the appearance of the sky, ²  but you cannot evaluate the signs of the times.

But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief ¹  was coming, he would have been alert and would not have let his house be broken into.

‘Even the dust of your town ¹  that clings to our feet we wipe off ²  against you. ³  Nevertheless know this: The kingdom of God has come.’ ⁴
