So ¹  Herod ²  questioned him at considerable length; Jesus ³  gave him no answer.

Jesus ¹  asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “My name is Legion, ²  for we are many.”

Then ¹  they came to Capernaum. ²  After Jesus ³  was inside the house he asked them, “What were you discussing on the way?”

So Pilate asked him again, ¹  “Have you nothing to say? See how many charges they are bringing against you!”

He asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, ¹  “You are the Christ.” ² 

Now ¹  as Jesus ²  was starting out on his way, someone ran up to him, fell on his knees, and said, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” ³ 

So ¹  while he was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, ²  and Andrew asked him privately,

He took the blind man by the hand and brought him outside of the village. Then ¹  he spit on his eyes, placed his hands on his eyes ²  and asked, “Do you see anything?”

Then Jesus and his disciples went to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. ¹  On the way he asked his disciples, ²  “Who do people say that I am?”

But he was silent and did not answer. Again the high priest questioned him, ¹  “Are you the Christ, ²  the Son of the Blessed One?”
