who gave himself as a ransom for all, revealing God’s purpose at his appointed time. ¹ 

And God, who knows the heart, ¹  has testified ²  to them by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, ³ 

who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a down payment. ¹ 

Now the one who prepared us for this very purpose ¹  is God, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment. ² 

He gave ¹  her his hand and helped her get up. Then he called ²  the saints and widows and presented her alive.

He ¹  did not waver in unbelief about the promise of God but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.

but our presentable members do not need this. Instead, God has blended together the body, giving greater honor to the lesser member,

While ¹  they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it, gave it to his disciples, and said, “Take, eat, this is my body.”

It is like a man going on a journey. He left his house and put his slaves ¹  in charge, assigning ²  to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to stay alert.

and said to him, ¹  “Tell us: By what authority ²  are you doing these things? ³  Or who it is who gave you this authority?”

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by grace gave us eternal comfort and good hope,
