For they all gave out of their wealth. ¹  But she, out of her poverty, put in what she had to live on, everything she had.” ² 

The ¹  younger of them said to his ²  father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate ³  that will belong ⁴  to me.’ So ⁵  he divided his ⁶  assets between them. ⁷ 

But when this son of yours ¹  came back, who has devoured ²  your assets with prostitutes, ³  you killed the fattened calf ⁴  for him!’

even for kings ¹  and all who are in authority, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.

For they all offered their gifts out of their wealth. ¹  But she, out of her poverty, put in everything she had to live on.” ² 

But whoever has the world’s possessions ¹  and sees his fellow Christian ²  in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God ³  reside ⁴  in such a person? ⁵
