When the disciples heard this, they were overwhelmed with fear and threw themselves down with their faces to the ground. ¹ 

The ¹  disciples were greatly astonished when they heard this and said, “Then who can be saved?” ² 

Now ¹  when the other ten ²  heard this, ³  they were angry with the two brothers.

Now when they heard this they were stunned, ¹  and they left him and went away.

When the crowds heard this, they were amazed at his teaching.

Now when the Pharisees ¹  heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, ²  they assembled together. ³ 

When ¹  some of the bystanders heard it, they said, “This man is calling for Elijah.”

When his family ¹  heard this they went out to restrain him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

Now ¹  when the other ten ²  heard this, ³  they became angry with James and John.

When some of the bystanders heard it they said, “Listen, he is calling for Elijah!” ¹ 

And when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.

and all who heard it were astonished ¹  at what the shepherds said.

Those who heard this said, “Then ¹  who can be saved?” ² 

Now when they heard this, they became furious ¹  and wanted to execute them. ² 

When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus,

Then the disciples came to him and said, “Do you know that when the Pharisees ¹  heard this saying they were offended?”

When ¹  the chief priests and the Pharisees ²  heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them.

Others are the ones sown among thorns: They are those who hear the word,

When John’s ¹  disciples heard this, they came and took his body and placed it in a tomb.

When they heard this, they were delighted ¹  and promised to give him money. ²  So ³  Judas ⁴  began looking for an opportunity to betray him.
