For each one will carry ¹  his own load.

The Jewish leaders ¹  picked up rocks again to stone him to death.

“I have many more things to say to you, ¹  but you cannot bear ²  them now.

Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

I am also aware ¹  that you have persisted steadfastly, ²  endured much for the sake of my name, and have not grown weary.

Do not carry ¹  a money bag, ²  a traveler’s bag, ³  or sandals, and greet no one on the road. ⁴ 

Whoever does not carry his own cross ¹  and follow ²  me cannot be my disciple.

and carrying his own cross ¹  he went out to the place called “The Place of the Skull” ²  (called in Aramaic ³  Golgotha). ⁴ 

When he came to the steps, Paul ¹  had to be carried ²  by the soldiers because of the violence ³  of the mob,

do not boast over the branches. But if you boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.

But we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not just please ourselves. ¹ 

In this way what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet was fulfilled: ¹  “He took our weaknesses and carried our diseases.” ² 

saying, ‘These last fellows worked one hour, and you have made them equal to us who bore the hardship and burning heat of the day.’

Then ¹  he came up ²  and touched ³  the bier, ⁴  and those who carried it stood still. He ⁵  said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”

(Now Judas ¹  said this not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief. As keeper of the money box, ²  he used to steal what was put into it.) ³ 

So now why are you putting God to the test ¹  by placing on the neck of the disciples a yoke ²  that neither our ancestors ³  nor we have been able to bear?

I am confident ¹  in the Lord that you will accept no other view. ²  But the one who is confusing ³  you will pay the penalty, ⁴  whoever he may be.

From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear the marks of Jesus on my body. ¹ 

“I baptize you with water, for repentance, but the one coming after me is more powerful than I am – I am not worthy ¹  to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. ² 

He sent two of his disciples and told them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar ¹  of water will meet you. Follow him.
