Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is led into sin, ¹  and I do not burn with indignation?

When ¹  did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

A great number of sick, blind, lame, and paralyzed people were lying in these walkways. ¹ 

Now receive the one who is weak in the faith, and do not have disputes over differing opinions. ¹ 

One person believes in eating everything, but the weak person eats only vegetables.

Erastus stayed in Corinth. ¹  Trophimus I left ill in Miletus.

Heal the sick, raise the dead, ¹  cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’

A large crowd was following him because they were observing the miraculous signs he was performing on the sick.

Now a certain man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village where Mary and her sister Martha lived. ¹ 

So the sisters sent a message ¹  to Jesus, ²  “Lord, look, the one you love is sick.”

So when he heard that Lazarus ¹  was sick, he remained in the place where he was for two more days.

At that time ¹  she became sick ²  and died. When they had washed ³  her body, ⁴  they placed it in an upstairs room.

So by your knowledge the weak brother or sister, ¹  for whom Christ died, is destroyed. ² 

If you sin against your brothers or sisters ¹  in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.

For we rejoice whenever we are weak, but you are strong. And we pray for this: that you may become fully qualified. ¹ 

Indeed, he greatly missed all of you and was distressed because you heard that he had been ill.

(Now it was Mary who anointed the Lord with perfumed oil ¹  and wiped his feet dry with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.) ² 

Without being weak in faith, he considered ¹  his own body as dead ²  (because he was about one hundred years old) and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

(To my disgrace ¹  I must say that we were too weak for that!) ²  But whatever anyone else dares to boast about ³  (I am speaking foolishly), I also dare to boast about the same thing. ⁴
