So they did as Jesus directed, ¹  and the people ²  all sat down.

Then ¹  the whole group of them rose up and brought Jesus ²  before Pilate. ³ 

All who believed were together and held ¹  everything in common,

and when he had explained everything to them, he sent them to Joppa.

This happened three times, and then everything was pulled up to heaven again.

Then Jesus ¹  placed his hands on the man’s ²  eyes again. And he opened his eyes, ³  his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

But if we say, ‘From people – ’” (they feared the crowd, for they all considered John to be truly a prophet).

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

Now when ¹  all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized. And while he was praying, ²  the heavens ³  opened,

but ¹  they could not find a way to do it, ²  for all the people hung on his words. ³ 

But Paul called out loudly, ¹  “Do not harm yourself, ²  for we are all here!”

For the unconverted ¹  pursue these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

And they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away. ¹  It will be the same at the coming of the Son of Man. ² 

While ¹  they were going, some ²  of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests everything that had happened.

Then ¹  astonishment ²  seized them all, and they glorified ³  God. They were filled with awe, ⁴  saying, “We have seen incredible ⁵  things ⁶  today.” ⁷ 

But if we say, ‘From people,’ all the people will stone us, because they are convinced that John was a prophet.”

For I will give you the words ¹  along with the wisdom ²  that none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.

The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (the one called Christ); ¹  “whenever he ²  comes, he will tell ³  us everything.” ⁴ 

A crowd of people from the towns around Jerusalem ¹  also came together, bringing the sick and those troubled by unclean spirits. ²  They ³  were all ⁴  being healed.

At ¹  that hour of the night he took them ²  and washed their wounds; ³  then ⁴  he and all his family ⁵  were baptized right away. ⁶
